MUSEUM OF THE SOUTHWEST’S RELATIVITY LECTURE SERIES HOSTS MARK CRAIG FOR NATIONAL ASTRONOMY

MIDLAND- Saturday, April 28, 2012 the Museum of the Southwest encourages the community to take
part in Astronomy Day 2012 at the Marian Blakemore Planetarium. The festivities will kick off at 10 a.m.
with water rocket launching and close with a star party at 7:30 p.m. at Haley Park behind the Planetarium.
At 4 pm, the Museum is happy to host distinguished guest Mark Craig of NASA, who will give a lecture
titled “NASA 3.0.” This will be the second lecture in Relativity, a new lecture series focused on astronomy,
physics and more.

Museum of the Southwest beginning Saturday, April 7. Museum members and press are invited to a
meet-the-artist reception in the Here and Now Gallery on Friday, April 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mind Maps
is the second of five exhibitions featured in the Museum of the Southwest’s Contemporary Series 2012,
“Tribal Stories.”

REMUDA QUARTER HORSE SHOW IN MIDLAND MARCH 23-25
The Remuda Quarter Horse Association (RQHA) will hold its Quarter Horse Show at the Midland County

occur Friday morning, November 18, at 10 AM for the on-site ticket sales of comedian Gabriel Iglesias’
January 26, 2012, performance at the Center. Tickets for all other performances including America (11/28),
Miracle on 34th Street (12/4 & 12/5), Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers Country Christmas (12/10) and
