DALLAS, April 4, 2012 -- Irvine, California-based The Bascom Group, LLC has acquired Villas at Monterey, a 272-unit community in Dallas, Texas. The sale closed on March 30, 2012 and expanded Bascom's Texas portfolio to 20 properties totaling 7,181 units. The price was not disclosed. The acquisition for Bascom was managed by Andrew Newton, Jeffrey Fuller and Paul Miszkowicz. The onsite property management will be overseen by Entrada Partners. More...

DALLAS, April 4, 2012 -- Paul Croshaw's independent film, Baseball, Dennis & The French, starring nationally syndicated talk show host Dennis Prager, will open exclusively at AMC Theatres on April 6th in the Dallas area. In a very rare move, AMC film bookers have placed the film in their theaters even though Baseball, Dennis & The French does not have a distribution deal with any movie studio, much less a major film distributor.
