A2Z Computing Services, Inc. Announces The Acceptance Of Press Releases From Lakewood And Vicinity

Oakland, Maine - December 1, 2011 -- Matthew Hunt, President of A2Z Computing Services, Inc. the parent company of Hometown USA announced Thursday that they will begin accepting press releases from businesses, organizations and individuals for posting on HometownUSA.com. In an effort to populate their redesigned News and Events section with quality information of interest to local residents and visitors alike, the company will immediately start posting valid press releases for viewing by their visitors.

"We have been working on this diligently for many weeks to ensure that we can roll this new and exciting addition out on our 16th anniversary of being in business." Hunt said. The revamped News and Events section of the site contains over 100,000 new static web pages for the posting of Press Releases, Community Events and Classified Ads. Hunt went further to explain that HometownUSA.com is not like most other portal sites, "Our site content isn't the normal travel, real estate, demographic information that you find on most U.S. city portals, though we do have some of that, most of our information comes from the residents and communities themselves. A couple of my favourite examples are "The Story of Orangevale, California" located on the History Page for Orangevale and the Calendar of Events from McGrath, Alaska that has, I believe, every resident's birthday listed on it. I want visitors to our site to come in and tell us about their hometown and what a great place their hometown is so that we can share that information with others".

After accumulating 13 years of electronic and computer experience, Matthew Hunt started A2Z Computing Services in December of 1995. As an independent contractor for MaineStreet Communications, Inc. he supported their clients with Internet connectivity issues, hardware and software support, network services and web site design consultation.

In August of 1997 he formed a partnership with Brian McKenna of PBA Communications, Inc. of Portland. This partnership, named WebMaine, was created to develop a series of web sites aimed at bringing the communities of the United States onto the World Wide Web.

In April of 1999 Hunt purchased his partner's share of the business and began the Hometown USA Community Development Project. This project was divided into two phases with the first one being the creation of the main site http://www.HometownUSA.com that provides a series of smaller pages for each state and community. Currently there are over a half million web pages on the site representing over 33,400 communities throughout the United States.

The second phase of the project is to develop expanded web sites for each community wishing to participate. The expanded web sites are developed into true community sites providing information pertaining to all aspects of the town or city. We work with municipal government and civic organizations to ensure that the proper "image" is portrayed for each community.

Hunt is a past Director on the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is currently serving as President of the Messalonskee Area Youth Softball Association and has been an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau since December of 1998 with no customer complaints.
